Rabbits are polite pets that like to be in their flock quietly and subtle. It's easy to feed and become more popular for pet lovers. Because, They are tamed nature, innocent, cute, easy to treat e.g. There are many varieties of breeding to choose from and good for being a pet to heal the mind or pet therapy. Deciding to feed a rabbit, the feeder should be aware of the responsibility to animal life and understand their nature. It's really good to study the way of life, characteristics, and habits of each species as well.
Rabbits are mammals. The average life expectancy is around 5-10 years. They are fast and easy to propagate. One stall rabbit has about 6-10 babies or leverets. The vaccination can be done when they are 4 months and older. Rabbit sterilization is necessary, if not, intend to breed or farm a rabbit.
The common foods are grasses and granule foods. Fresh grasses and hay should be used as the main foods. Because grasses and hay are very useful. They help the rabbit to be healthy, strong, good bowel movements, and good teeth. It's important to supplement some vegetables and fruits, as well.
The area to feed them should not be too hot, not wet, no strong wind, well ventilated, the cage must be clean, plenty of foods, and clean water regularly. The feeder should not let them be too lonely. But let the rabbits run and exercise which will make them strong and relaxed. The correct way to grip them is by picking on the back of their necks and holding the buns to support the weight. Carrying rabbit-ears is not something you should do. Because it will tear their blood vessels and the ear will be bruised.
The selection to buy a rabbit, in addition to, being cute and pleasing. The feeder should choose the age of weaning and start eating normal food, which is about one and a half months old. Rabbit is a fragile pet and sensitive to the environment. The feeder should pay special attention and care in different seasons. In the rainy and cold seasons, rabbits get cold and pneumonia easily. Some diseases often found in most rabbits are fungal infections of their teeth and diarrhea from dysentery which make the ears become red or distorted.
The feeder should observe the rabbit, regularly. For whether the illness had occurred or not. Such as not drinking water, not eating food, hair loss, sebum, sores, mucus, itchy ears e.g. Or in the case that the rabbit has blemish eyes. The eyes have pus inside or with tears conjunctivitis, fur pricked eyes, clogged tear ducts, dust, smoke, etc. These are the points that should not be left or ignored.
